Lotus Sametime and Domino 7.0.3

I wanted to point your attention to a post on the Lotus Sametime support site regarding Lotus Sametime and Domino 7.0.3.   Domino 7.0.3 has resolved a JVM issue that in Domino 7.0.2 was causing nHTTP crashes on the Sametime server (issues that up to now had resulted in us recommending running Domino 7.0.2 but with a JVM from Domino 7.0.1.)

Java virtual machine (JVM) changes made to Domino 7.0.2 are causing nHTTP crashes. The issue has been fixed in Domino 7.0.3.

If you are running a Lotus® Sametime® server release 7.0, 7.5 or 7.5.x on Domino® release 7.0.2 you may experience nHTTP crashes. These crashes do not occur in versions of Domino prior to 7.0.2. The issue has been fixed in Domino release 7.0.3 server.

This issue is not applicable to Domino 8.0, as 8.0 uses JDK 5.0.

If you are experiencing this issue, upgrade to Domino 7.0.3. If that is not possible, contact IBM Support to request a test fix (hotfix). Hotfixes are available for Domino 7.0.2, 7.0.2 FP1 and 7.0.2 FP2 to address the JVM crash issue.

The following workaround is available. Note that 7.0.2 FP1 and FP2 do NOT fix this issue.

For additional details and the workaround should you want to continue running Domino 7.0.2 instead of upgrading, please see here.
