News/Notes from Enterprise 2.0

I actually think I've missed more than I've caught of the Enterprise 2.0 conference so far, but from what I've seen it's been a very worthwhile event.  Fortunately, there's no shortage of blogging coverage (including proof that I'm here :).

It's been great finally meeting folks like Eric Mack and Michael Sampson in person, as well as catching up with analysts, partners, and colleagues.

On the news front, IBM made a number of announcements (link, link) around Lotus Quickr, Lotus Connections and the broader "Web 2.0 Goes to Work" initiative.

I was at the IBM booth on the expo floor and there was a steady stream of people checking out Lotus Connections, and it was great to see all the interest it's getting.  I also always like looking over Quickr product manager Marc Pagnier's shoulder while he demos.

Speaking of Quickr (and Sametime, of course), this is probably a good time to remind anyone that hasn't registered for Collaboration University that there's no time like the present.  As Rob Novak discusses, the speakers are top-notch, almost all of the content is brand new, and covers all the details you need to deploy, manage, and get the most out of Sametime and Quickr.   Check out Rob's blog for the list of sessions.

The dates again:  July 9-11, Kansas City (Mike Rhodin, Keynote Address), July 18-20, London (Ken Bisconti, Keynote Address).
