Please help a clueless American - international phones

OK, I'll admit it.  Sometimes I'm just a clueless American.

I'm very excited to be heading out to The Hague next week for IBM's Information On Demand EMEA conference (as hard as it is to be away from home for a week).

What I need is some advice on phones while there.  As I understand it, I've got a couple of options:

1.  I've got a BlackBerry 8700, which can operate in Europe.  For a little extra money I can temporarily switch over to an international plan, which will give me data access while there.  The catch is, I only have a data plan (no voice), so while I think I could get/make calls, it would be at an obscenely high per-minute rate.

2.  I could rent a local SIM card for my BlackBerry.
Questions:

2A.  I'm assuming I look for this once I get to the Netherlands.  If so, where should I look for one?
2B.  How much should I expect this to cost?  How much should international calls cost?
2C.  Will I still be able to get data access back to my corporate system using a rented SIM card, or will this just give me voice?

3.  I could just rent a phone for the week
Questions:

3A.  Do I do this in the states or once I get to the Netherlands.  Either way, where should I look for one?
3B.  How much should I expect this to cost?  How much should international calls cost?

Thank you!
